Dogs Unlimited Return Policy & Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
Since 1971, Dogs Unlimited has proudly served hunters, professional trainers, handlers, and dog owners across the country. We stand behind the products we sell and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase.
If for any reason a product does not meet your expectations, our Customer Satisfaction Guarantee and No Hassle Return Process are designed to make returning merchandise as simple and straightforward as possible.
Our Customer Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with an item purchased from Dogs Unlimited, you may return it within 30 days of receipt, subject to the guidelines outlined below.
To be eligible for return, merchandise must be:
- Returned within 30 days of receipt.
- In new, unused condition.
- Returned with original packaging, tags, manuals, and accessories when applicable.
- Accompanied by a completed No Hassle Return Form or sufficient order information to identify the purchase.
Returns received after 30 days may be accepted at the discretion of Dogs Unlimited and may be subject to a processing fee, restocking fee, and/or other adjustments.
How to Return an Item
Returning an item to Dogs Unlimited is easy.
Simply complete the No Hassle Return Form included with your order and include it with the merchandise being returned. If you no longer have the form, a downloadable version is available through the footer of our website.
To help us process your return quickly and accurately, please provide:
- Your name and contact information
- Order number, if available
- Item or items being returned
- Reason for return
- Exchange or refund instructions, if applicable
Returns that include complete information can typically be processed more quickly.
Refunds & Return Processing
Approved returns will be refunded to the original method of payment whenever possible.
- Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
- Returns received within the 30-day return period are subject to an $11.00 return processing fee.
- Merchandise showing signs of use, damage, modification, excessive wear, or missing components may not qualify for a full refund.
- Refunds are processed after returned merchandise has been received and inspected.
Returns Received After 30 Days
Dogs Unlimited understands that circumstances occasionally prevent merchandise from being returned within the standard 30-day return period.
Returns received after 30 days may be accepted at our discretion and may be subject to:
- A restocking fee of 20% or more.
- Additional deductions based on the condition of the merchandise.
The amount of any adjustment will depend on the condition of the returned item and the circumstances surrounding the return.
Exchanges
If you would like to exchange an item for a different size, color, model, or product, simply indicate your exchange request on the No Hassle Return Form.
Customers are responsible for shipping charges associated with exchanges unless the exchange is the result of a Dogs Unlimited shipping error or a manufacturer defect.
Non-Returnable Merchandise
The following items are generally not eligible for return unless they arrive defective or were shipped incorrectly.
Certain products, including customized merchandise, books, DVDs and training media, dog whistles, and blank ammunition, may have additional return restrictions. Please review the product-specific guidelines below.
Customized & Personalized Products
Because these products are manufactured specifically for the customer, customized and personalized items cannot be returned or exchanged.
Examples include:
- Custom dog collars
- Personalized dog collars
- Engraved products
- Custom-made products
- Specially manufactured merchandise

Special Order Merchandise
Products ordered specifically for a customer and not regularly stocked by Dogs Unlimited are considered special-order merchandise and are generally non-returnable.
Clearance & Closeout Merchandise
All clearance, closeout, discontinued, and final-sale merchandise is sold as-is and is not eligible for return.
Consumable Products
For health, safety, and quality-control reasons, certain consumable products may not be eligible for return once opened.
Examples include:
- Dog treats
- Nutritional products
- Veterinary products
- Health-related products
Books, DVDs & Training Media
Books, DVDs, training videos, and other training media may only be returned if they are unopened and in original condition.
These products contain valuable training information developed and shared by respected trainers, handlers, and hunting dog professionals. Once a book has been read or a training video has been viewed, the educational content has been received. For this reason, opened books, DVDs, training videos, and other training media are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund unless they are defective or were shipped incorrectly.
Dog Whistles
For health and sanitary reasons, dog whistles are not eligible for return once opened or used.
Unopened dog whistles in original condition may be returned in accordance with our standard return policy.
Dog Toys
Dog toys may be returned if they are unused, in new condition, and include all original packaging and tags.
Used dog toys are not eligible for return.
Blank Ammunition
Blank ammunition may only be returned via UPS Ground in accordance with applicable shipping regulations.
Please contact our Customer Service Department if you have questions regarding the return of blank ammunition products.
Defective or Incorrect Merchandise
If you receive merchandise that is defective, damaged during shipment, or incorrect, please contact Dogs Unlimited as soon as possible.
We will work with you to determine the best solution, which may include:
- Replacement
- Exchange
- Repair
- Manufacturer warranty service
- Refund, when applicable
Photographs may be requested to assist in evaluating shipping damage or product defects.
Manufacturer Warranties
Many products sold by Dogs Unlimited are covered by manufacturer warranties.
Warranty coverage, terms, and conditions vary by manufacturer. In some cases, customers may be directed to work directly with the manufacturer for warranty service or replacement.
Our Customer Service Department will gladly assist you in determining the appropriate course of action.
Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping expenses unless the return is the result of:
- A Dogs Unlimited shipping error.
- Defective merchandise.
- Incorrect merchandise received.
For your protection, we recommend using a shipping method that provides tracking and insurance. Dogs Unlimited is not responsible for merchandise lost or damaged while being returned.
