The Dogtra 280X PRO Remote Dog Training E-Collar gives you something most training collars don't: the ability to set up the transmitter around the way you prefer to train. Three interchangeable control layouts let you choose between Pro Mode, 2-Dog Mode, and Standard Mode, so you're not locked into one button configuration.

At the center of the system is Dogtra's X1 PRO transmitter paired with the compact 280X receiver. Three Ways to Set Up Your Transmitter

Pro Mode gives you dedicated Nick and Constant buttons and lets you adjust stimulation while delivering a correction. This layout will feel familiar to trainers who liked the button arrangement of the classic Dogtra 280C. A 1-Dog Lock Mode keeps the transmitter assigned to your dog's receiver even if the toggle is accidentally moved.

2-Dog Mode changes the transmitter layout for working two dogs. Dog 1 and Dog 2 each have dedicated controls, eliminating the need to flip a toggle back and forth before making a correction. Nick or Constant can be programmed for each dog, while the function toggle provides access to Pager vibration, tone, or the receiver light.

Standard Mode uses the familiar X-Series control arrangement. The center command button can be programmed for Nick or Constant, and Quick Level Boost lets you preset an additional amount of stimulation that can be added immediately when you need to get your dog's attention.

Having three layouts isn't about adding more buttons or making the system more complicated. It's about choosing the controls that make the most sense for the way you train. Set it up for one dog, configure dedicated controls for two dogs, or use the traditional X-Series arrangement.

Compact Receiver for Dogs 10 lbs. and Up

The included Dogtra 280X receiver weighs only 2.4 oz. and is designed for dogs weighing 10 lbs. and larger with a minimum neck size of 7". Its low-medium stimulation output and 100 adjustable levels give you plenty of room to find the appropriate working level for your dog without jumping between large increases in stimulation.

The receiver also includes tone and a 1000 LUX LED locate light, useful when you're working a dog in heavy cover or as daylight starts to disappear. Both the transmitter and receiver are IPX9K waterproof, so rain, wet cover, mud, and water aren't reasons to call off a training session.

Expandable X-Series Dog Training System

The 280X PRO isn't limited to the receiver that comes in the box. The transmitter is compatible with Dogtra X-Series e-collar receivers, including the 280X, ARC-X, 1900X, 1900X BLACK, and 1900X CAMO. The system can be expanded to control up to three dogs depending on the transmitter layout being used.

When another X-Series receiver is paired with the X1 PRO transmitter, the operating range is limited to 1/2 mile, while the stimulation output remains appropriate to the receiver model being used. This gives you the option of pairing the transmitter with different X-Series receivers while keeping the same basic control platform.
